Bocce Ball

For those of you not acquainted with the fine art of "bocce" you are missing it out. My family plays it quite a bit so last year we introduced it to Mark's side of the family and it became an instant hit. We were eager for the nice weather so that we could break out the set we bought for Mark's dad last year for fathers day. Just for the record Mark and I kicked butt one game and dominated. (I won't include the results from the other games)
Unfortunately I was so eager to play some bocce that I didn't care to put shoes on. What was a cold turned into pneumonia. I'm not really sure it was pneumonia but the thing is both my dad and my sister got pneumonia and I'm positive that I have been every bit as sick (if not more sick) than they have--I think that I coughed up a lung this past week-- and seeing as I never went into the doctor, just called him and he said "sounds like it's a bad case of bronchitis" and called me in the same prescription that they have, I will go ahead and say I had pneumonia.
30 weeks! I decided to include this picture because it shows Conner how much I love him. Some day he will see this picture and say "mom, you were huge!" and I will say "yes I was son, I did it because I love you!" And I will have no problem with him telling me how huge I was because at that point I will be very skinny and stylish :) Actually I probably shouldn't say skinny because the other day on a show they got mad at moms who mentioned skinny and fat. They said you should use words like "fit" and "healthy" so I will rephrase and say I will be fit and stylish!

My brother-in-law, John, and his fiance, Rika. I'm super excited that they are getting married and I'm excited to have Rika as a sister-in-law (especially because this brings another volleyball player into the family). What I'm not so excited about is the fact that they get married 2 weeks before I'm due. John says that it would be cool if I winter into labor during the wedding.....I don't know about that. I'm going to try and stay out of as many pictures as possible.
The bocce playas!

29 weeks!

29 weeks!!! I wish I could say 39 weeks because that would mean that I was almost done and this was as big as I was going to get but sadly, that's not the case. I see myself in this picture and wonder how can I get any bigger?? I always had hopes that because I'm so tall I would be one of the "lucky ones" that doesn't hardly show at all, but since I struck out in that ball game my new hope is that I'll be one of the "lucky ones" that loses weight quickly because of nursing :)

Interesting effects of pregnancy:

On the first day of my third trimester I celebrated by throwing up. Mark took a picture of me laying on the ground in misery with the bowl by my head but I thought I'd spare you all. This, of course, isn't a new development more a continuation.

Before pregnancy I was a pee 2-3 times-a-day kind of girl. Now, I don't even think I could count how many times I go and it's really started getting to me. (It doesn't help that at the place I work the women's bathroom is on the first floor and I'm on the second floor so every time I need to go to the bathroom I have to walk a flight of stairs)
Well, the other day I was getting ready for school and had to pee for the 3rd time that morning. I thought I'd teach my bladder a lesson by not giving in every time the urge presented itself; I also reasoned that if I held it, my bladder would get stretched out and be able to hold more for the future. So I ran out of the house and started driving to BYU, about 5 min out I got that tickle that means a sneeze is coming on. And before I could prepare myself I had the most gargatuan sneeze of all time AND...I peed my pants. Yep, just like a 2 year-old-girl I peed my pants. Of course I stopped it after the first gush and didn't let my bladder empty completely but that first gush was enough to make me turn around and go home to change my clothes. Needless to say I was late for class.

Teach me how to Jimmer

First off, I am a horrible blogger. For now I will blame it on the whole pregnancy part because I've gotten to the point that I don't like pictures being taken of myself and I'm STILL sick. While SOME of the nauseousness has gone away (I'm just over 27 weeks) it has been replaced with acid reflux, migraines, leg cramps, and horrible hip pain. I'm just not good at being pregnant. I'm going to have a lot better game plan next time around!
I see babies everywhere! You know how you buy a car and then suddenly you see that car every where you look? Well that's how it is with pregnancy and babies. I can't focus at church because I'm looking and the babies and their mothers.
OK pregnancy info obviously has nothing to do with the title of my post I just thought I'd add a little bit before starting into it.

I love BYU basketball. It has been such a fun part of our life the past few months. It's fun to be represented by such an incredible team. I told Mark I wanted to name the baby Jimmer. He didn't go for it and we've since decided on Conner but I'm still hoping for the middle name...Conner Jimmer Warr (maybe the double "er" ending is too much??). We've gone to 3 games: SDSU, UNLV, and Wyoming. These pictures are from the Wyoming game. It was cool they had the whole student section do a flash dance during a time out for the Sr. night so look up "BYU Flashmob" on youtube. The whole "Jimmer" maddess has also been fun. I have friends all over the country that write me and tell me how big of fans they are. I have high hopes for the March Madness run (even with Davies gone).
This picture was taken after they won the game and were cutting down the nets as conference champions.

Just testing my pictures zoom capabilities. Jimmer's shooting a freethrow. His percentage is outrageous it's in the 90's.

Rika (Johns girflfriend), John, Mark. I cut myself out of the picture because I look far to swollen. 2 hours pregame crammed on a hard small bench then 2 hours of standing during the game left me looking very overheated and swollen.
